A: The purpose of the Society has been described as two-fold: 1) to help its members to grow spiritually, through modeling the actions of Christ Jesus in direct service to the poor and others in need and (2) to attempt to ease the suffering of those in need.
Q: Do I have to be a member of OLG parish to join the OLG Conference?
A: While we encourage interested parishioners to join us, all are welcome to participate as members or affiliate members. Non-Catholics are welcome to join us too, with the understanding that SVDP is a Catholic lay organization.

A: No. During meetings, we "pass the hat" for voluntary contributions to support our administrative costs. Also, food and money donations are always welcome.
